Enrollment/Registration - Current Grade 8
Class Selection in Aeries Academic Planning for current 8th grade students is from January 5 - February 5 11:59pm, 2026. All students who are enrolled in Oakmont HS will need to complete their class selections.
Enrollment starts November 10, 2025 for incoming 9th graders.
Complete your enrollment in advance so that you can access class registration.
IMPORTANT DATES
Ongoing: Introduction letter will be sent home to all 8th graders. Letter will include all important dates, registration information and student unique email for Homelink login. Only families who completed the Aeries online pre-enrollment will receive a letter.
January 26, 2026 Meet the Fleet Evening: 6:30-8:30pm at Oakmont High School. We invite you to attend our Meet the Fleet where 8th grade students and families can learn about Oakmont and the programs and classes we have to offer. Counselors will have an information session for all parents about academic planning for their students. 8th graders will learn about Oakmont. All families will have access to meet staff representing each course department and athletics.
February 5, 2026 4:00-6:00pm Academic Planning Review and Help: Meet with an OHS Staff member to discuss your Academic Plan (please have the plan completed for all four years prior to the meeting) AND/OR can get help with the Aeries AIR registration process. This event will take place in the OHS Library. All 8th graders are recommended to attend.
February 5, 2026 @ 11:59pm: Complete your entire Academic Plan in Homelink for classes. (See step #3 below.)
February 5, 2026 @ 11:59pm: Google Form for Alternates is submitted (See step #4 below.)

STEP #1: Parents Complete all Online School Enrollment Documents through Aeries AIR
You will need to upload various documents for enrollment. If you do not have access to a scanner, please use your smart phone. Instructions for scanning documents in phones are as follows: ANDROID phones | APPLE phones
Transfer students must be approved by RJUHSD prior (https://www.rjuhsd.us/departments/student-services/transfers) to continuing with the following steps.

STEP #3: Complete your Academic Plan in Aeries
View Step-by-step instructions and complete your Academic Plan between January 5 - February 5, 2026.
Students will need to login to their own Homelink account to register for classes (parent accounts will not work for class registration).
STEP #4: Submit Four Alternate Classes
Students have put on their Academic Plan elective courses (classes not in the minimum graduation requirements in the subject areas of: English, Social Science, Math, World Languages, and Science) as requested for the following school year. There are times that we cannot fit an elective course into a student schedule. We use these four alternates to help place students into classes. Please pick carefully and use the Course Catalog Website to help make your decisions. LINK FOR ALTERNATES SELECTION
STEP #5: Check for Applications for Classes
Some classes (Dance 2-4 tryouts only, Student Government, Health Academy, TA, Unified Sports) do require an application - please see this webpage for the application. Please fill these out as soon as you register for class. Students who do not submit the application by the set deadline may not be considered for the course.

Academic Planning in Aeries
Students will be taught annually in fall semester by counselors how to access and edit their Academic Plan in Aeries. The timing will depend on the school year but will occur prior to Winter Break. Families will receive messaging home about the lesson and time. Families are encouraged to review the Academic Plan Instructions video prior to working on their plan.
Students are advised to plan ahead and use this Four Year Plan worksheet during the school year to update their goals and future classes. This document will help support students in understanding graduation requirements and a-g requirements.
Students should use the Sample Four Year Plans on the programs and pathways listed on Course Catalog Website to assist with their own planning.
